Responsibilities
Financial Management
Oversee daily front office and clinical operations, including patient scheduling, payroll, inventory, and internal controls.
Personnel Management
Lead recruitment, onboarding, and, when necessary, termination of front office and clinical staff.
Promote PRC’s mission and ensure staff commitment to excellence in service, attitude, and performance.
Address and resolve staff concerns or escalate as needed.
Conduct performance evaluations, manage salary reviews, and implement training programs.
Monitor staff performance, overtime, and absences.
Patient & Referring Physician Relations
Track and improve patient satisfaction; provide periodic reports and recommendations.
Ensure timely communication and correspondence with referring physicians.
Resource Utilization & Facilities Oversight
Maximize the efficiency of clinical and front office operations, staff, equipment, and supplies.
Arrange maintenance and repairs as needed.
Meetings & Reporting
Participate in organizational meetings and lead internal clinical/front office meetings, ensuring documentation and follow-up.
Report findings and recommendations to the Practice Administrator.
Additional Responsibilities
Assist with the implementation of corporate decisions and initiatives.
Participate in committees and projects as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Education & Experience:
High School diploma or equivalent required.
8–10 years of experience in ophthalmology is required.
Proven management experience in a medical group practice.
Strong working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, commercial insurance, and managed care.
Proficient in financial oversight, reporting, and operational decision-making.
Skills & Competencies:
Outstanding leadership and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with physicians and staff.
Strong problem-solving and follow-through.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand for extended periods.
Manual dexterity to operate ophthalmic equipment.
Ability to write and communicate via phone.
